Invisible compression?

    Hi Ripley

I've had the same issue as you with rejected sample demos. I upload the "same sample" 3 or four times (with differing tags), but only one gets rejected. It's the exact same sample as the others!

I thought your samples were both fine, and your reads were great, as usual. :-)

Mr Bunny has always done a great job at being thorough and clear in answering questions, I'm hoping that we can get clarity on this one soon.

    Hi, Ripley

Thanks for sharing. I agree those samples don't sound overcompressed. Maybe a bit compressed (which could be caused by recording technique and not necessarily processing) but it's not a dealbreaker. We are constantly striving to deliver better quality projects to our clients but inevitably this also causes discrepancies when we 'raise the bar' of our quality standards.

We are continually reviewing our processes and as such, we hope this type of rejections will stop happening as often.

Please share with us the project which was rejected and we'll remove it from your stats. :)

As always, we appreciate your comments and hope you continue being an active member of our community.

    Hey Seb-

I'm not gonna worry about having the rejection removed from my stats right now, because I'm not even sure if I'm going to continue on as a BunnyPro.

In the past 6 months, the entire experience of being a BunnyPro has gone from wonderful to terrible.

I told the talent manager team that I would wait until the end of April to make my final decision to stay or go, but so far things have gotten worse instead of better.

It just makes me so sad.

I loved being a BunnyPro and I used to tell everyone in VO they needed to come be a part of VB. Now I'm embarrassed to tell my VO friends that I'm still trying to make it work.

Maybe things will get better though.

I will keep my fingers crossed that you guys find a way to turn things around in your QC department and get everyone on the same page in terms of sibilance and compression.
