Apparent "room echo throughout"
All -
I've taken the audio sample I've submitted and had it analyzed by several audio engineers; some of whom have engineered audio for R. Kelly, Celine Dion, and The Smashing Pumpkins. No one has been able to hear this "room echo" that was referenced in the rejection email.
I'm not sure how the QC team works, but if they're listening in a space that's not treated well, they may hear things that are not there. I record in a literal vocal booth that is dead. I do not get what is going on but this is my second rejection. The first mentioned "plosives" which was taken care of.
Any insight is helpful.
Thanks!

Hi, Rex
I've listened to your application project and while it's very good, there are some audible room reflections in your recording. As in you can "hear" the room you're recording in. Unfortunately, some of our clients are very particular about this.
I believe you're not far at all and some acoustic treatment or different mic positioning might do the job.
Remember, you can apply again once you've resolved this issue.
Cheers,

I have fixed this several times and yet I still haven't received a response from you guys. Meanwhile, some other folks I know who have submitted applications record theirs in a living room without any treatment. It doesn't make sense to me. I'm still confused about your process of approving people...
Hi Rex
Keep in mind a new application project may take up to 31 days after requesting it. Also, if you can share some of the samples from the users you know that have submitted their recordings without appropriate treatment, it would be appreciated! We would like to review their recordings and setups as well.
Thank you!
It's been over two months, actually and I just requested again....

There are a few there. I can keep going if you'd like. Please let me know. After working in radio/audio engineering and on air for 14 years, I should be a part of the QC team...
Thank you, Rex.
We will review them again to ensure they match our current standards. We're working hard to ensure we clean our Search and only showcase the best recordings.
It's been over two months and I still haven't heard anything and I keep resubmitting my application. Is there an issue that I should be aware of? Why am I being told it could take up to 31 days when I'm well past the mark?
Hello, Rex.
I've checked our database and what happens is that you've already received 4 application projects in total, which means you've run out of opportunities to apply.
What we could do is to delete your current account so you can reapply using your same email address.
Let me know what you think.
Best,
Oscar
Yes. Lets do this, please.
Perfect.

You may apply again using the same email in 48 hours.
Best regards,
Oscar
