I would like further feedback on rejection
Hello Everyone,
My submission was rejected, and, I'm fine with that. As I travel down the road of trying to become a better voice actor, I would appreciate more feedback then what was just provided by voice bunny. This was the message they sent me.
Overcompression and room echo throughout.

Sidenote: I am recording in my basement, in a booth I constructed of pvc pipe, with accoustic panels and hanging moving blankets.
Things I would like to know: Do you hear a room echo? I did process the audio, and I usually process it for auditions on Voice.com - Should I stop doing that? Is it over processed? Any other feedback the community can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Jose
Thanks for sharing the recording.
So I have to agree that the recording has way too much gain and sounds overcompressed. I can even tell it's distorting at some points.
There's also a high level of hiss noise which could be boosted by the excess gain and over processing. I really suggest you to reset your levels and definitely toss out every process you have. Keep in mind that for VoiceBunny we expect clean, process-free recordings that are ready to use by the client. When the recordings are processed, our clients will have little to no headroom to work with and may have a challenging experience when making their own mix.
