Rejected - Looking for suggestions before I resubmit
The rejection letter I received back stated that the following issue that occurred was the room echo (reverb) and did not seem to indicate any other problems with the submission. I think I've figured out a fix to my room echo problem but I wanted to see if there are any other ways I could improve with my audition submission? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,
There is a background noise in the recording, Maybe its your laptop fan. You may need a shock mount.
Youssef!
Hi Elaine,
There's indeed quite a bit of room echo, we recommend you record in a booth or in a small, acoustically treated room. Here are some tips: https://goo.gl/vGqUIW. Also, make sure to record close to the microphone as it sounds like you're recording far from it.
I agree with Youssef, there's also a background noise. It could be a computer fan or A/C. Try to record as far as possible from these noise sources.

Hi Elaine
I agree with both Seb's and Youssef's comments. I do believe your room echo is quite critical in your case so I believe this one should get the main priority when you review your recording space. Aside from the article Seb shared, we also hosted a webinar where you can learn more about acoustics and acoustic treatment options more in depth. You can find the recap and video recording here: https://help.bunnyinc.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115000007524-Acoustics-101
Hope all our resources help!
Okay, sorry for the long time as I've been going over all your suggestions and trying to work with each one before I responded. Thank you all for your help! To Youssef, I do have background noise and the computer is a desktop and not a laptop; I'm sure I could get a mount but it will take time. Thank you for the suggestion.
To Sebastian, thank you so much for the link with all the suggestions! I followed quite a bit of them (pretty much made a blanket fort and my own reflection filter using the audio filter padding and a box to house my microphone) and am hoping to have cut out a lot of the noise problems. I also recorded closer to the mic, but I'm afraid that I was too loud so I tried to cut my volume down so I don't clip and now am a bit worried about that now. Hopefully, it worked out.
Thank you as well, Angela, for the link on the acoustic treatment options; some I could follow now but others would have to wait until I had the finances to pursue them. Still, it was very helpful and appreciated.
Thank you all again so much for taking the time to help me in this matter. Using your suggestions, I went ahead and completed the steps for re-submission and here is the newest submission....I'm hoping the background noise has been reduced well enough. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Yh7Ddr2jz_4cEiFI3O7j1aIeoHoI7aT1/view?usp=sharing
This one sounds much better in terms of acoustics, there's a big improvement on that front.
The audio sounds a bit degraded though as if some noise reduction was used. While noise reduction can be useful for reducing hiss, it can also smear high frequencies, decreasing their clarity. If there's too much hiss in the original recording you can always try to edit the space in between words, reducing its volume.
Hi Elaine
I agree with Sebastian. The recording sounds very processed. It's even more noticeable during your breaths as they sound super digital because the noise reduction plugin is very strong. How are you recording? Can you let us know your equipment to see how you're recording?
Thanks!
