Hi all! Hope all is well!
Just hoping to get some feedback on a rejected application before I resend. Original corrections needed was reverb and plosives.
In the past, in order to not sound SO flat, I usually have used compression + other tools but (as you may see by my demo on soundcloud) but VB is specifically asking for a flat recording - basically raw I believe - is this right?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance!

Hey Ross,
There's a bit of room echo/reflections in your recording. Compression usually brings out this issue even more so it's better if you avoid it at first. For tips on acoustic treatment check out this page: https://goo.gl/vGqUIW.

I agree with Seb's comments. There's some room echo in the file which is not ideal. There are also many plosives which indicates that you're recording too near to the mic's capsule. Please, record a bit farther away and using a professional pop filter (the boom type) to reduce this problem.
I also see that you have recorded the application in English. Keep in mind that it's better for you to apply with your native language, instead of English as right now we're only offering a very limited number of English accents. For this reason, it's also a possibility that you may get rejected for the accent! Please, try your native language first!
