Feedback, please! Just improved my home studio setup
Hey ladies and gents! I applied to the site before but was denied full membership because of background noise and echo. I recently made a sound isolation box and used it to record my mini demo today and wanted to get your opinions on whether or not the echo problems are no longer an issue and I can apply again.

I moved my noisy computer to the other room, built a small sound isolation booth with egg carton sound foam, changed my audacity settings to match industry standards, and bought a pop filter for my blue yeti mic that goes on it like a sleeve. I feel that I am getting closer to my goal of being VB-ready, but I am not sure what else to do to get there.

Hi Valery,
The new sample sounds better, but in order to properly judge room echo, it's better if you provide us a recording without background music as that's how the majority of projects are screened.

Unfortunately, the sample does have a lot of room echo. Try recording in a smaller space and make sure it has appropriate acoustic treatment. Also, you’ll find tips on acoustic treatment on our community page: https://goo.gl/vGqUIW.
I really love your voice and delivery. I wish VB feedback said more about that. It seems its always very tech...which is key but some feedback on delivery would be so helpful!

We do provide some feedback on delivery. However, we try to focus on the tech side to ensure the quality of the audio is not impacting the performance and/or distracts from how awesome a voice is!
