Audio REJECTED for "room echoing throughout" ...but I have a sound-treated studio with -60db sound floor!

    Hi Tom!

    Thanks for reaching out.

I was checking your recording and I found the following problems:

The room echo here is referring more to a slapback delay that is making your voice sound metallic and bright. I understand how the term room echo could've confused you so I apologize! I've shared the feedback so we can be more specific in future reviews.

What bothers me the most, however, is that the recording is very overprocessed by the use of a noise reduction plugin. Actually, I would actually think that the metallic and brightness properties I pick up are more of a consequence of the excessive filtering. You can pick the damaging of the file much clearer during the breath areas. The noise reduction is attempting to filter out the breathing sounds but fails making them sound as if they were computer generated. Unfortunately, this processing won't allow us to work with the file.

Would you mind sharing a 100% raw recording with us? You can share it via a link from Google Drive, Soundcloud or Dropbox. If you can also let us know how you're recording (microphone, interface, preamp, etc.) it would be much appreciated.

    Hey Tom!

I've listened to your application project and I agree with Angela. It sounds as if it's been processed by some kind of noise reduction, which is degrading the audio quality. In terms of echo, there are some audible short reflections but for me the bigger problem is the noise reduction.

In terms of performance there are some distracting mouth clicks/noises throughout which should be edited out.

Do share with us a new sample without the processing...

    -Seb
