    Hi Matthys

    Thanks for sharing.

Listening to the recording, the room ambiance is quite present in the recording. Checking the pictures, I believe you're recording at a bad angle in your space. Also, keep in mind that tables do create several unnecessary reflections. I highly suggest you review if you can change the positioning of your mic so you can be facing in a different direction.

Maybe you can try positioning it behind your desk and see if this removes the reflections that your space is creating. However, I do have to agree that the reflections and room echo are quite loud.

Interesting. I do stand when I voice these. The desk is a standing one so it's easy to manipulate the height of it. The mic I position above the monitors and am speaking "towards" where the photo is taken from.

Keep in mind that the audio travels in all directions. For this reason, it's important to understand very well the polar pattern of your microphone as well as understanding the materials you have in your room that could be creating extra reflections. I usually find that having the desk in the same space as your microphone usually creates a lot of unwanted reflections. For this, I do believe it would be a good possibility to review the positioning of your equipment, especially your mic, in the space.
