Hi Eden,
I've listened to your application project and there is a small amount of room echo/reflections. This is probably caused by recording too close to reflective surfaces or insufficient room treatment.
However, the audio also sounds a bit filtered, high frequencies don't sound very clear. Are you processing the file in any way?
Lastly, there's a bit of hiss audible throughout (you can hear it clearly at the end of the read). This is usually caused by recording equipment like mic/recording interface.
