    Hi Sunil

I agree that the recording doesn't sound quite processed. However, I do find the following problems:

    1. The breaths, mouth noises, and plosives are too strong. More likely you're recording too near to the mic's capsule which is impacting the recording. Please record farther away and with a pop filter. Also, make sure you edit the recordings to clean and remove the breaths and mouth noises. Editing doesn't mean processing, but it does require some cutting and fading to ensure your file is as clean as possible.

    2. There are some reflections in the back of your voice in some areas. These reflections are not too strong, but it would be important to review your microphone technique so you can ensure only your voice is being picked up by the mic. An appropriate distance from the mic will also help with this.

    3. Your performance is quite unnatural and forced. It doesn't sound robotic, but the tone variations and inflections feel quite forced. Keep in mind that we look for conversational and natural voice-overs that feel as if you were talking to a friend. The inflections, pauses, and rhythm of a voice should be natural and flow with the text.

We hosted a webinar with Tommy Griffiths where we go over achieving the best, most natural recording! You may benefit from it as he's really thorough with his methods: https://help.bunnyinc.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115000236850-Using-VoiceBunny-Webinar-with-Tommy-Griffiths

There is one thing. You said use a pop filter. But I am using a pop filter. Yet you say the plosives are apparent. Do you think my filter is too close to the mic or am I just standing too close. I am using ISOVOX booth to do my voiceovers by the way if that helps.

    Hi Sunil

The issue is with the distance, however, I would be able to tell if it's between the pop filter and the mic or you and pop filter. I suggest you adjust the distance between the pop filter and the mic to be a few inches and then position yourself a few inches away from the mic, too. This way, you can play with both distances.
