    Did you filter the recording? The 's' sound is quite filtered. If so, can you share a 100% raw recording with us?

    No I did not. The gain was at 0 db and I have raised it to 45% on my pre-amp. Observe via the upload below (RAW followed by EQ):

    Hi Justin

    The raw file has an important level of hiss noise. We are aware that every piece of equipment has some white noise, but your file's one is very audible and prominent.  The filtered one still has the noise while you speak and it lost some frequencies as well. 

    I believe it's important to see if maybe your interface is adding the noise, not the mic. The TLM103 is usually a very silent mic, so the excess noise could be coming from your interface. Do you, by any chance, have another interface or maybe an external preamp you can try?
