Can you listen to my audition file? I need help.
I am stumped. I think this may be my 5th time trying to audition with VB. I will say, if I compare this audio to my first...well its downright embarrassing. However, this time I did not use any post processing, no normalizing, EQ or anything. I did take the sound (amplification) down between the sentences but just to take my breath out etc. I don't hear what they are saying. Is it the NOISE GATE? It has to be that because I didn't use the other processing. I did not use noise reduction either.
I don't think this matters but I just got third place in another platforms monthly contest ending Dec 4, 2018. One of the comments in the feedback from the platform professional was that the quality was good....I don't understand... I know I am not alone.
Thank you VB friends and staff for making this process better for everyone.

Hi Melissa,
The quality of your read is good. I do hear a jump in the audio (which could be caused by a noise gate) at 0:26 when you say "No questions asked". Perhaps this was why the project was rejected.
To make this recording even better, I'd lower the volume of the gaps in between words about 6dB. There are some small clicks and noises which could be distracting (for example after "team").
I believe you are 95% there, only small adjustments and you're good to go!
Hi Melissa
I agree with Seb! I believe the Noise gate is acting a bit too fast. Also, there's some hiss noise and some plosives. You may want to reduce the gain on your preamp and record a bit farther away from your mic.
