Boy's voice

Hi Voicebunny,

Often in animation women provide boy's character voices. (One of the best at it is Tara Strong, who plays Ben Tennyson, or Ben 10). I just received a rejection because "the client is looking for a boy". If my voice is not right for the project I completely understand the rejection, but I'd like you to reconsider the rejection if it is purely because I am female. Boy's voices have not broken yet, so women actually sound much more like boys than men do. I have trained at some top animation workshops in Los Angeles and have marked playing a boy on my voicebunny profile as I consider it one of my strengths, and I know there's quite a bit of work in this field. Please let me know if you will reconsider. Otherwise I will change my profile.
