SETTING VACATION DATES

    Hi Joe

This is a tricky one but I have some suggestions for you in this case.

So, you can do what you said which is marking yourself as unavailable the day before you'll be away. This way, as you said, you won't be getting projects when you can't record.

The other option would be to set your away time on the day you will be away only and take care of the projects you receive on the days prior. If you receive a long Booking or a project that you believe could result in revisions 2 or 3 days before going away, you can let us know via email. This way, we can reach out to our client that you will be away for some time and if they're OK with waiting in case any revision comes in. This options kind of more cumbersome as you'd have to reach out but it could work so you can take projects before going away.

Makes sense? In the end, the way that works better for you is OK!

    Thank you Angela,

    There's something I still don't get though.

Let's say I leave for a one week vacation on Wednesday. If I set my first vacation day as Tuesday, I still cannot accept a project on Tuesday, Monday, or even Sunday Why? Because I cannot honestly click the accept button when one of the promises I make is to be available for the next 72 hours following acceptance of the project.

Let's suppose I accept a job Sunday Morning.

    Monday morning is 24 hours.

    Tuesday morning is  48 hours.

Wednesday morning is 72 hours, but I can't record then because I am gone.

So setting the day before doesn't work. I have to set my vacation date a full three days (24 hour periods) before I leave.

    Am I still missing something?

(I know you have more important questions to deal with, but just want to make sure I understand the VB policy.)

Thank you for all you you do. :)

    Joe
