Help increasing quality of work
I keep getting rejected for hiss/ white noise and background noise. I use a Steinberg audio interface and Rode condenser mic in a sound treated room. Any advice on how to solve these issues is greatly appreciated.

... That is FAR from my setup, so ouch!

Hi Sara,
Thanks for reaching out. I've forwarded this feedback to the team. It's better if we use professional language when we ask Pros for revisions.
Regarding the audio, there are quite a few background noises and hiss throughout. The source of the hiss is hard to pinpoint but it could be coming from a laptop/computer fan in the background. Although I haven't personally used them, the Steinberg+Rode mic shouldn't be producing this much noise.
I'd suggest recording as far away as possible from a computer while being careful of not moving while recording as these noises can come through the recording.
Lastly, I also hear quite a bit of saliva/mouth noises. This could be caused by lack of hydration.
Thanks again for sharing, your feedback is valuable in helping us improve.
Looking forward to hearing an improved sample,

That's very helpful. Thank you for the reply. I think the laptop and hydration could definitely be the issue and I really appreciate your help.
Thanks again,
Sara
