"Over-processed audio"??
My audition was rejected last night due to "over-processed audio." There was no processing at all on my submission, just some editing. Could you please be more specific as to the issue with the audio? I would love to fix this issue!

I don't think it sounds too compressed, however, I do believe there are certain things that can be improved:
We're looking for a raw file that has only been cleaned up from undesired sounds (you may use a bit of EQ), without the need for limiters or noise reduction plugins because these tend to smear certain frequencies and end up negatively impacting your sound.

Thank you, Gary, for this new recording.
However, I still hear those breaths in between phrases (please use the fade tool in your DAW of preference in order to get rid of them)
Also, the plosive ("eXPensive" 0:05) and the mouth clicks I told you about are still there. It sounds as if you were not properly hydrated before you recorded the audio.

Wow, I did fade down the breaths, I just didn't cut them out completely for a more natural sound. But I totally missed the plosive! A better mic is on the way as we speak. Thanks for the ear. I'll watch the hydration!
