translation errors insisted upon?
I received a script with some bad translation and grammar errors. I flagged the project and noted what the actual mistakes were and said I would submit my corrected version. then I submitted the recording with the mistakes corrected assuming that whoever reviewed it would see the errors corrected and understand why . but no - I received an email to say that I need to record the thing again because I had made mistakes by misreading the script - And you guessed it, these "mistakes" were the grammar corrections I had made.
These errors are clear and obvious, incorrect pluralisation, phrases like "help you winning clients" instead of "win clients" and in one instance the script mentioned how useful the product would be for your "generic and dedicated staff". A product video that inadvertently insults the staff by calling them generic ( a clearly 'lost in translation' moment) is no good to the client. How can the person reviewing this think it's OK to leave the grammar errors in??

Hi Andy,
Unfortunately, in this case we got a response from the client after you submitted. They have now approved the changes so you can resubmit. The QC team has been informed of these.
Sometimes clients want their scripts as written (even if they have mistakes).
