Booking Response Time
Hello,
How much time are voice actors given to respond to a booking - not how much time to complete the project, but how much time to accept or reject it?
I received a booking at 4:30am, and felt like if I didn't go ahead and accept it right then, I would lose it. Because the clock starts once the booking is accepted, it meant crawling out of bed and into the booth at 4:30 in the morning.
Is it possible for the team to consider the time zone the actor is in when sending a booking request? While I appreciate each opportunity, it almost seems a little inconsiderate to text anyone about a job that early in the morning, unless they have a reasonable time to respond.
Thanks in advance for your response!

Hi there
It actually depends on the specific project according to its own remarks. Once a client posts a project, then the system will assign a time for you to accept it. Notice, however, that in the case you've shared, you could definitely accept it a couple of hours afterward (630am) and there should not be an issue.
Currently, our system doesn't differentiate between time zones. When a project is submitted, our algorithm determines which Bunny Pros are the "best matches" for that particular project. It begins inviting the best matches first and works its way out, inviting lesser matches until the project is accepted by enough Bunny Pros. These invitations are sent as soon as the project is created and will keep going until it’s completed.
These emails are completely automatic and will be sent by our system to ensure the Pros that match the project are aware of it and have the opportunity to deliver. Once the project has received the minimum number of necessary auditions, it will change its status and will no longer be available. Our system works this way because we want to make sure we can give the same chances to every Pro wherever they are.
When it comes to Bookings, the notification will be sent as soon as the project's been created.
We know this is quite challenging for which we apologize. We're working on a solution for this and your feedback is really appreciated! If you have any ideas on how we can overcome this challenge, please let us know in our Community thread on the topic Working hours.
Best,
Oscar
Thanks for your response, Oscar.
When a booking notification comes in, can the VoiceBunny team simply add the amount of time the VO has to respond to that notification?
You're welcome.
That's an automated process and the algorithm is the thing in charge of timings. However, there should not be too much of a problem because, of course, we understand that you'll be asleep in the middle of the night. Just accept it once you're ready to record.
