Already accepted file(same quality) in the recent project rejected; seems QC team members don't have consistent or unanimous standards.
Hi! currently I'm working with same client's same projects, and I've submitted the recordings under same environment and same equipment like the below.
At first, it was accepted by VB after one rejection; I've admitted that hiss sound, resonance and etc.
Now as dealing with the same client's another project, I've submitted same quality of recordings and it has rejected as it contains 'saliva sound' and 'too loud'.
So, I re-recorded some parts of the recording and tried to delete the annoying sound and made whole volume down.
Just an hour ago, I've got another rejection saying that 'there's hiss sound' and 'too low' and 'plosives'.
Now I have to re-submit again, and this is the second trial which I've never experienced before.
I understand some of my recordings' quality are not consistent throughout the whole projects though,
why can't I have the same results from QC? not only this time, I've experienced right before the current project again; the same quality's recording was accepted by QC team right before the current job.
It seems like that they're adding more reasons to reject as time passes.
I am not angry but frustrated with different standards from different QC team member.
Overall I am highly appreciated what VB has done for the pros; this is the most credential and friendly platform that I've used so far. Hope that I can get practical tips from some one in charge.
Thanks in advance.
This is the link for I'm supposed to submit for third trial.

Hi Claire,
Thanks for sharing your concerns. I've listened to your sample and there are three minor issues:
-Hiss or background noise throughout: this could be caused by recording in the same room as your computer or a fan. It's especially audible at 0:16-0:17.
-Distracting mouth clicks: they are natural but should be edited out if possible. Remember to hydrate before recording.
-Volume: In order to send clients projects with consistent volume, we recommend you normalize your projects to -3dB. This one is a bit lower than recommended (-11dB).
Lastly, I do hear a plosive at 0:04. Make sure to record words with loud 'p' sounds at an angle.
All these issues can be solved rather easily and require a bit more careful editing.
Hope that helps.
