From studio to own equipment
Is anyone recording in an external studio?
For me it is hard to keep up pace (speedys, contests) since I would have to go 25 minutes to my studio, hope to get a spot and record there. And there is no other way to record, since they are giving me a pretty good discount. How do you achieve 20minutes-edit-contests?
I guess most of the people here have their own equipment?
Recording in standard rooms / non-isolated as well? With noise reduction techniques?
Two times already I had the issue that I recorded it, looked for the best recording cut it together and when I wanted to upload anything there were already 3 ppl having sent in their stuff. Seems like 2 hrs with one hour back and forth with the bike is not quick enough.
I guess when I accept a contest, and have 20 minutes I will get blocked if I dont upload anything.

Hi Bernd
I completely understand what you're saying. I think it is definitely a disadvantage that you do not have your recording space at home because of the fast pace with which the platform works. It will for sure affect your chances of working comfortably.
I suggest you stick to bookings until you're able to get your own home set up. (Remember to upload at least one sample per purpose, so you increase the chances of getting seen by our clients).
Kind regards
