Looking for feedback
I'm fairly new to the voice acting game and I wasn't expecting to be accepted, but I wasn't expecting the reasons given for rejection. The email stated that my application had too much echo, reverb, background noise, and post processing. I can understand that last one because I probably added too much, but I'm not hearing the other issues mentioned, especially the background noise. I'd like to get some clarification before requesting for another application.

This clip is not the exact one I sent for the application; it's the raw file with only clipping at the beginning and ending of the file and once in the middle to take out a long pause with some amplification to a -3db peak. Other than that, it's the raw audio. I'm really flummoxed by this and would appreciate some clarification. I've had issues with gain levels in the past, is it maybe related to that?

Hi Justin,
It sounds like you might have faulty equipment or bad cables that are causing this noise. Unfortunately, it's clearly audible throughout the recording and we don't recommend you apply any processing to remove this as noise reduction won't be able to fix this properly. You'll have to find the source of the noise and tackle that first.
Thanks for the tip, I'll look into fixing it. I was concerned it would be something unfixable but if it's a hardware change then I can manage that.
