Revision Rate Issue
I've been instructed that I should post about my issues in here versus directly/privately quibble about ways in which I think the QC process is problematic.
My account has been suspended, and I'm unable to receive further projects as my revision rate is too high. The issue is, however, that multiple of those revisions were not actually revision requests or were issues with the script.
First, the script issue: I received a script that was missing a couple of articles, a "the" and an "a" or something similar. It was clear that those words were necessary to sound like proper English. It was likely glossed over as our brains fill in these kind of words when they're not there. When recording, I just put them in there because it was clearly a mistake. My recording was sent back for a revision because I didn't follow the script. A back and forth ensued with support that ultimately led them to accepting my recording as is.
Second, the non-revision: I was sent a job for which I completed, and the client decided they wanted another brand new sentence read. They had been fine with the initial submission. They just needed one more thing. Happy to oblige. However, it was sent to me as a revision request. It counted as a revision request. And when submitting said revision request, I had to submit it by overwriting the last file, with the script from the previous submission listed above, so it absolutely didn't seem right. I flagged it and once again talked to support. Apparently this was how you did this. BUT, I would argue again that that should not have counted as a revision request. I had completed the original ask, and this was a new ask.
I did have one in which I was too loud as it required actual screaming. I did have one that required very specific timing to a video, which was difficult as I was matching it to the pacing of a spanish speaking video. Those I will cop to, but the above issues were out of my control and do not indicate an inability to turn in quality recordings.
