Let the client decide! Unfair rejection
Here a bunny manager rejects the speedy for the following reason.
- The client is looking for a “upbeat, good mood and good vibes tone” This was in the instructions as well.
You feel that the delivery wasn't meeting these criteria. What about letting the client decide? Could the delivery be more upbeat? If I made it sound over the top sure.....I was going for a more natural and believable delivery. Here's the speedy. What do you think? Was this a fair rejection?

I've given up trying to understand the decisions VB makes, as I think it really depends on who you get doing quality control. Love how they assume you didn't read the instructions too... It was your take on it. If I sound bitter, it's because I am : )
Hi Danny,
The opening line "Numlock news is the perfect start to your day" does entirely meet the criteria of "upbeat, good mood, good vibes", but more like a cold read (and we've had lot's of rejections because of this reason). In speedies, clients have never heard the chosen voice so we have to guarantee it's something that will meet all their criteria. As we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee, we can't just let the client decide if any submission meets their criteria, there has to be some sort vetting beforehand.
However, I'll remove this one from your stats as I believe the issue could have been fixed through a revision.
I'll share this case with the team so decisions like these are handled better.
Thanks Sebastian! I appreciate your feedback and willingness to work with your voice bunnies!
I think the ultimate client should decide in all honesty Sebastian. What could be better than a happy client? I can assure you, a client will be hugely more forgiving than VB and you should give them the benefit of the doubt. The way VB operates is so demoralising to a great team of voice talent and I believe the whole approach towards rejection of a sample or final voice over, should be re-evaluated. It is good to have this platform to share views but if they are being constantly rejected, then again, we all have to say: "What's the point?"
Hey Rob
I understand your thought process. Nonetheless, in our platform, VoiceBunny is your client. Thus, we must assess all the files based on the parameters we've found our own clients are looking for throughout these years.
One of the key distinctions that we offer our clients is that they'll get a final deliverable that has been previously QCd and we know they'll love it. If for any reason they actually decide not to use it, we offer the 100% satisfaction guarantee that Sebastian's mentioned. Therefore, we have to make sure we're only paying for those deliverables that will satisfy our clients.
I appreciate your reply Oscar but I and I am sure many others, consider the parameters regarding audio are too restrictive and severe and therefore, ultimately, you are not giving clients the real choice they deserve and if I were a client, I would consider that wrong.
