Second audition was rejected for 'boxiness'
My second audition was rejected for 'boxiness' saying it sounded like it was recorded in a small space - which is recommended on this link they sent with it to improve sound. There is nothing in the link they sent that addresses the reason for the rejection. Any... advice? Sounds counterintuitive to me. I record in a closet for sound quality. I had posted an example to the experts in a separate forum before I re-auditioned and he thought it sounded fine. I book VO on other sites with this setup just fine. Example below.

Hi Carrie,
There are resonances in your recording. We do recommend recording in a small space and more than a few recordings have been done in closets. However, in your recording, some room reflections are still audible. For example in "step by step".
Also, if you are using noise reduction software I would dial it back a little bit as high frequencies are becoming smeared and losing definition.
Overall, your audition is not far off, I'd just just make sure all surfaces are covered in your space so no reflections get into the recording. Then we recommend using less noise reduction and you should be good to go.
Thank you so much for this! Truly appreciate the specificity of the feedback and will apply to my next audition.
