Audition Rejected for Some Improv
Someone rejected my submission for a backup/contest because I didn't stick exactly to the script. The email told me to read some community info for suggestions on becoming more professional / improving my submissions.
The improv on the theme is professional - added to the script. Watch the commercials I've done for TV - I improv, it's often kept because it adds to the piece.
In an audition especially I sometimes add a bit to show character.
My submission was a vast improvement over the (sounded like it was recorded in the grand canyon) lifeless read provided as a sample.
Some hack decides it has to be exactly on script, so I wasted my time providing not only a good submission but a fucking great submission the client would have loved.

As mentioned via email, I can understand your frustration, however, I can't accept your requests.
Our QC agents must assess files according to the script as it's been provided, word by word, so it is our client the one who decides if they want to change it.
Please, do not take it personally as many of those responses are pre-written in order to save time due to the high number of files they must assess every day.
Remember that you can always increase your rates if you think they do not correspond to what you should be making in the platform.
