Hey J.E.
Thank you for sharing your work with us.
I think the audio has not been normalized and there's background noise in it. To solve this last problem, make sure you're not giving your microphone too much gain as it can pick up too much noise behind your voice. May I ask which mic you're using?
Also, I've picked up an undesired loud breath (after "tasks" at 0:04) and some sound reflections that are affecting the file. You can edit the endings of the phrases with a fade out and try to remove any object which surface might be reflecting your voice (as well as covering all the reflective surfaces surrounding your recording space).
Hi Oscar,
the edit's been up there since at least 12:58pm on August 1st, less than 30 minutes after this reply of yours. I sent a message instantly after updating the post up there with a link below the original (since obsolete)
Hi J.E.,
There's a background noise/hum whenever you speak. It could be caused by fans/AC in your recording space or faulty equipment. Additionally, the edit points are noticeable as some words sound like their ending has been cut off (for example "voice" at 0:05). We suggest trying to address the background noise issue first, that way the editing won't be so noticeable.
