    Any comment on these?

The only thing I recall doing differently than before was have the gain slightly higher, so that I could move away from the mic to avoid mouth clicks.

But, I do have a theory...I am wondering if these samples are being rejected by algorithms rather than by human ears? If so, I think I know what's happening and it has more to do with the waveform than how the sample sounds. Can you confirm?

    Hi Jon Eric,

Unfortunately, in these samples you can hear the noise gate "opening" and "closing". This happens when you insert absolute silence in between words. This can be a distracting effect and can be perceived as robotic by some clients. We suggest you insert room noise (record 30s of just your room) instead of absolute silence.

In terms of room acoustics, there are still room resonances in the low-mid frequencies.

In the sample rejected today, there's also click at 0:06 in "comfort".

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Sebastian,

As I mentioned, there is no noise gate. But, I can add room tone anyway.

When samples are rejected on our samples page, are they rejected by a QA person or by an algorithm?

They are checked by our QC agents. Depending on your performance, certain samples can be auto-approved.
