    Hi Melissa

I've noticed that there's room echo in your audio. This has to do with the lack of treatment in the recording space you're using. Let me invite you to check our article https://help.bunnystudio.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/203461624-Tip-5-Basic-acoustic-treatment-is-not-rocket-science I'm sure you'll find certain tips that can be helpful.

Also, I've found some plosives throughout the recording: At 0:03 "Perfect", 0:09 "Project", 0:014 "Production", etc. By placing the microphone at a slight angle instead of directly pointing it towards your mouth and/or recording just a bit farther away from the capsule, then the mic shouldn't pick up those harsh sounds.

    Hope that helps!

Thank you so much, I appreciate it! After I make the necessary studio and technique changes. I'll post before re-submitting to get feedback (pun sort of intended) :) Thank you again! Melissa

    Hi Melissa!

Just as Oscar mentioned, the two main issues are the plosives and the room echo.

From the YouTube description, I noticed that you have an SM7B. This comes with a windscreen that does nothing for popping sounds, unfortunately! A proper pop filter will do the trick, especially since this mic is the kind you want to "ride hard" and speak into it very closely, as it has an amazing variety of sounds that greatly depend on the proximity effect.

Oh by the way: huge kudos in your gear selection! The DBX is amazing piece of equipment and that capture chain will surely go a long way in your VO career, especially since you have a pretty voice to top it all off.

Now as for the room echo... it also sounds as if you're talking a little bit removed from the mic, but that would clash with the amount of plosives. Could you tell us what's your mouth to mic distance in that sample? Finally... if you achieve the level of acoustic treatment that gets rid of the reverb audible in your recording, you're gonna be a killer!

Hoping to hear from you soon!
