46 year old woman doesn't sound like a middle age female?

    Hi Ripley

Thanks for sharing your concern. I'm sorry if you felt attacked by our review. As you know, we never send comments your way in any attempt to attack your integrity or professionalism.

We all agree that you're a very versatile voice actress and have noticed you can sound much younger sometimes which is really nice and a great skill to have. We listened to the recording and we all agree it sounds pretty young as if you were in your 30s due to the emotion and upbeat nature of the tone you used for this recording.

We're not saying you don't usually sound Middle Age, but for this specific project, the tone chosen sounds a bit too young for what the client was requesting. I believe this all comes down to the versatility you have and the amazing skills you have to mold your voice to sound different and to emulate different age ranges.

I am sorry, again, for the discomfort this could've caused. However, in this case, we stand by the rejection. We look forward to working on more projects together as we do admire your work and appreciate it a lot!

    I agree with Angela, Ripley.

Your versatility and wide vocal range is definitely a plus when it comes to your multiple skills as a voice actress.

Please, accept our apologies for any misunderstanding this whole situation may have caused.

For this particular project, you sound a bit younger than what was requested by our client, which is why our QC agent rejected the deliverable.

Thank you so much for your hard work and we look forward to working on many more projects with you.

    Regards

    Hi Ripley!

I'm not the particular ogre who rejected your audio for this project, but I am part of the QC Team indeed.

I'm also a voice actor who usually dabbles between middle age and young adult projects, one who has been rejected by clients on an off VoiceBunny because the voice didn't match the profile, tone, intention or whatever they're thinking at the moment.

That's the nature of this business: we're subject to rejection in every chance and opportunity and it comes with the territory. Compensation for our time when recording is clearly stated in the reward for work and only applies within the terms and conditions, and even though apologies are due and have been duly extended by my colleagues before, I'd also like to join in: we're sorry if this caused you distress or confusion.

However, clients like the one who posted this speedy are very particular about their requirements, which leaves the QC team with a tough task to be performed on hundreds of projects per day. This means we must adopt the client's vision as our own so that Mr. Bunny's promises are kept.

We appreciate the hard work and quality of your history as a Bunny Pro! Keep in mind though: per-project objective evaluations are the norm.

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know how you feel! I'll make sure to remember this in every project I get to work on.

Héctor Adolfo Ituarte (VoiceBunny QC Agent)
