    Hi Kaitlyn!

Now, this is a GREAT improvement!

First of all, congrats on vastly improving from the sample posted on the previous entry. This is so much better!

I think though, my commentary and advice still stand: refer to that post and play a little more with your gain settings. From what I can hear, this interface/preamp is about 20% hotter than it should be. Remember that gain in audio is kind of like exposure in photography: if you get it right in the shot, post-processing will be an afterthought. Any excess gain will likely print undesired noises and hiss that will be lifted when the audio is normalized, and a "seemingly quiet" recording can always be normalized to a desirable level, but one that is too hot from its inception, will never sound as good with any amount of processing.

Please submit whatever samples in this same thread, to keep a clean forum and a better track of the amazing improvements to come!

    Cheers!

Thank you so much for that, Kaitlyn.

Could you share a couple of pictures of your set up as well? That way we are able to give you more accurate feedback.
