Voice Age Feedback
I had an audition rejected because QC said that my voice didn’t reflect the age requirements. It specifically said Young Adult Female. I’ve done multiple projects that were Young Adult. I get that I have a lower pitched voice, and perhaps the client might not think it sounds young adult enough for them...but why should QC get to decide that? Shouldn’t the client get to choose? Plenty of young adult females (Like me) have lower pitched voices?
I don’t think it would bother me if this wasn’t something that affected my stats. I get that VoiceBunny has to listen to each file and make sure it meets their qualifications, but the problem here is that deciding voice age is very much subjective to who is listening at the moment than something like plosives or “boxiness"
I just won a contest for a young adult female yesterday and have done multiple speedies for young Adult with no problem (and the same voice)

Can someone help me understand why they would reject it? While it did say Young adult female, it also requested Professional, direct, positive, confident, empowering, human (think “personal touch”). In other words its not like the client is looking for a barbie voice? I feel like someone somewhere deciding that I should be rejected on this was unfair
