    Hello Iqbal,

First may I say what a nice read of this story. I think you have a great style.

But the recording has too much room noise. Your studio (recording space) needs treatment to prevent sound reflections from hard walls, floors, ceilings, possibly even the desk on which your computer sits.

In my own home studio, I cannot record when the furnace (or air conditioning) is running, so have to turn it off while recording my voice. Don't know if that is causing some of your noise, but if so, may need to be addressed.

Don't be discouraged. There are helpful tips on acoustic treatment in the VB community site, and all over the internet. Fixes do not need to be expensive. My first studio was treated with free carpet samples!

Also, please heed comments from Bunny Managers more than mine :)

Keep going - you have a nice style.

    Regards,

    Joe Brown

    Hi Iqbal,

I saw a few of your submissions and since this is the most recent one, I'll give you feedback here.

    • I agree with Joe regarding the room noise, he's absolutely right, it could be a fan, the air, the computer, anything. There's also some hiss, some low-frequency rumble, here's a link to help you with hiss: Link. Also, you could make sure not to have any electrical equipment or cables overlapping with your audio cables, that could cause interference resulting in undesirable electrical noise in your recording.
    • Compression, are you using it? It seems like you are, and that's affecting the dynamics of your audio, we strongly recommend not to compress the audio.
    • Are you using a noise gate? It seems like it, we also recommend not to use it, especially in your case when there's a clear difference between your dialogue and gaps, it just sounds abrupt and it hurts the quality of your deliverable.

Joe is right, don't you get discouraged, you already have an amazing voice, you just need to tweak a bit your recording space and you'll be ready to impress.

Keep it up and send us new audio on this post to see your progress.

    Cheers
