I was told that my equipment was not professional. I am using the mic that Bill DeWees recommended, and also others recommended it to me. Bill is one of the top voiceover actors in the business. I was also told to use 3db for my recording, which I did. Can't they tell what level it was recorded at? Not sure at all what to do.
My Soundcloud link to my work is at soundcloud.com/rick-mackin/voicebunny02. Please review and let me know what the technicians say and anyone else. Thanks.

Hi Rick,
I'm another v/o guy, not a Voice Bunny manager, but after listening to the demo, I hear a lot of hiss and room noise in the recording. There also seem to be close-order reflections coming from hard surfaces such as windows, desk, hard flooring, walls, etc., or other hard surfaces near your recording area.
Has your recording room been treated with acoustic panels or curtains, carpet? Was your air conditioning or heat running when you recorded?
My other question is your recording chain. Is the microphone a USB mic plugged directly into your computer? If so, this could be a source of hiss. It's really difficult to get great sound with a USB mic.
Just some thoughts without knowing your exact setup.
Regards,
Joe Brown
Hi, Rick!
Thanks for reaching out; first of all, let me congratulate you on a great voice and read!
Now onto the sad news: Your audio quality does require some adjustments and as Joe B. said before me, it would be very helpful if you could share every detail of your setup with us, so that a more precise assessment can be made.
Have a great week!
