    Hi, Becky!

Thank you so much for reaching out and bringing this issue to our attention. Our system and platform are in continuous improvement and this may cause such inconveniences sometimes.

I’ll be looking into your issue personally, for we are documenting the sample process as it’s currently getting refined by our engineering ninjas.

Keep an eye out on this post for further instructions! We might need to do some work in sync.

    Cheers!

    Hey, Becky!

If you’re online right now, please upload the samples you wish to have reviewed and I’ll give it a look. Just be sure to notify me immediately with a post in the thread.

    Thanks!

Great, thank you! I've uploaded samples 158681, 158682, and 158683 to my profile for your review.

    Hey, Becks!

Thank you for the patience and for following up on your issue. On our end, we have checked everything and the platform should be working properly.

The next step would be for you to log in and see if those rejected samples are still present in your profile. If so, please delete them.

I do have a couple of observations on those samples you listed for me to review: they have editing glitches. This may be due to an overzealous noise-gate setting or simple editing technique. Please upload them here as raw, unedited, non-manipulated audio files (you can use WeTransfer, Google Drive or whatever file sharing service tickles your fancy and post the links in your response), so that we can evaluate and polish those files before you try to post them in your profile and risk an automated rejection from the sample screening system.

Hope to hear from you soon!

    - Héctor.

Hi, thank you for the information. I did remove the rejected samples and tried yet another that should meet the requirements but it too was immediately rejected. Here's a link to a copy of the file.

Hi, any chance we can get this resolved soon? I'd really like to expand my samples so I can start showing up in searches and have opportunities to be assigned projects. Thank you.

    Hi Becky,

Just another vo artist, not VoiceBunny staff, but gave a listen and I do hear a couple problems: 1) room reflections - I hear reflections off nearby hard surfaces, could possibly be the desktop itself (where you're working), nearby walls or windows - any hard surface that can reflect sound; 2) there is hiss in the recording, for example, in pauses such as after "3 simple steps".

The hiss may be coming from external sources such as a furnace running (I cannot record while mine runs), computer fan, or any other outside noise coming into the recording room. And/or hiss may come from gain settings: the electronic noise floor is always there in any audio system, so if microphone gain is too low, the signal to noise level is not great enough, and when you normalize to -3db, it not only raises the voice level, but the inherent noise level as well.

Are you using a condenser microphone through a computer audio interface?

    Best of luck,

    Joe B.

    Hi Joe,

Thanks for your input. After going through every solution I could, I think my audio interface is failing and introducing increased noise into my signal chain. I've killed the room reflections with a vocal booth, but the noise floor is still not where it should be (especially when i have to normalize to -3dB). New interface comes tomorrow so I'm hoping for a dramatic improvement.

    Thanks!

    Becky

Which interface are you getting if I may ask? Always interested in the gear other artists are using.

Also, what mic do you use? (I'm using an AT2035)

    Best,

    Joe
