Feedback on new studio setup
I'm hoping for some feedback on my new studio. I don't normally have a problem passing Voicebunny's QC- but I was sharing my very small closet with my husband and all of our clothes- it was time for a change. I'm concerned because the sound is different. I have installed acoustic panels, but I think I might need some more- I'm just not sure where to invest my time and money. I was hoping I could get a listen before I spend anymore money!

Hi Aleesha,
Sounds pretty good to me - I'm not hearing much in the way of room reflection. Might sound like you're a fraction too close to the mic, but otherwise, good VB Quality Control has better listening equipment (and ears!) than mine, so I'd let them weigh in before making any drastic changes, but I doubt it will take too much.

Thanks Joe for the feedback! I'm actually a bit farther from the mic than most people stand- I usually stand about 10 inches. I I think the room reflections are cancelling the sound out a bit in the mid-range. I added some new panels today and really hope it has fixed it!

I'm picking some reverb on your audio.
I see that you just added some new panels, do you think you can share a new sample with us? Maybe that helped already with the acoustics.

two questions. One, do you still hear reflections? if so- any suggestions for what I might do to fix them? Since the pictures, I have added several rolled up comforters on the floor, and obviously the robes hung on the door is temporary- i want to purchase an acoustic blanket to hang over the door on hooks.
