Please help acoustic treatment??!
Hello hive mind,
I really need some help with my feedback from Speedys and samples for Voice Bunny. I am recording in a hilarious kids tipee with loads of sound treatment all over it and in. My mic is covered in an Alctron PF8 and I have an sE reflection filter behind mic.
I do use my phone quite near mic to read script but I regard this as quieter than paper.
Would really love to crack the Voice Bunny code as I cannot work out what I should do next. Other companies employ me to do voice overs but are they actually doing extra editing work for me? Im not sure I can hear the echos?
Many thanks to all in advance,
Hannah

Well, let me start by saying that you have quite a wonderful voice. Sadly, what you are concerned about, though, is correct. I can hear the echo. My ears are. It yet trained enough to tell possible causes, but, some ways that I combat it, myself, is by lowering the gain on my preamp (I have mine to about 24-30%), and by putting something soft to absorb sound reflecting from the floor. In my case I use cardboard to even it out and then a cloth carpet with plenty of stuffed animals around me to absorb sound. One last thing I can recommend is either using really thick cotton blankets or several moving blankets. I am sure the moving blankets would be far cheaper.

I hope this advise helps you.
This is actually very good feedback, I want to add our very own blog post:

Please experiment a bit with what Devon and I are bringing up, I'm sure you'll have a better idea on what you need to do now.
