Hello,
I would like my audio quality assessed given that my profile has been deactivate.
Here's a link to a french Canadian sample :

Hi, Marie!
Thank you for reaching out, we appreciate it! Your sample is near perfect. The only necessary improvement is in the acoustics department. Your recording relays very audible reverberations. If you want, you can share with us some photos of your working space and a detailed description of your gear so that we may be better suited to issue advice on how to mitigate the echoes.
In the meantime, you can check out this post on the subject.
Hope to hear from you soon!

Hello Hector, thanks for your feedback! It's greatly appreciated!
I use the the BPM Studio Tecknik CR-95 mic with the RME Babyface audio interface.
I record in a closet that doesn't have a door, but a curtain, which is behind me when I'm recording so I'm facing the wall....maybe I should turn around and face the curtain??
I've upload a picture for you to have a better idea.
Thanks,
Marie
Hi, Marie!
Thanks for coming back to us with this picture! Your perceivable reflections are mostly the result yes of mic placement, so a bit of experimenting may be due. I'd place that mic stand/screen up against the corner. Also, more padding in the ceiling and on that shelf could do the trick.
I'd explore the possibility of using blankets or heavy curtains around the room as they wouldn't be hard to hang from the current structures, and will certainly provide the absorption to make your room as quiet and non-reflective as I wish mine was at the moment, hehehe!
Also, while you're tracking (recording) try to keep the gain level in that Babyface to one that prints a maximum of -6 dB in your DAW, so that you won't over-sensitize your mic to anything other than what you want to record.
I'm looking forward to hearing what you can come up with next, as your gear and voice are tip-top! There's just that tiny bit of reflections to eliminate (especially with loud reads where our voices natural amplitude will leave the recording more susceptible to reflections.)
Happy recording and happy weekend!
- Héctor.
Hello Héctor, thanks a lot for your input! I'll see what I can do and come back with another sample.
Have a nice day!
Marie
Thanks, Marie!
