Ukrainian Language with lots of mouth noise and plosives
Dear Pro Bunny Community,
Can you please give me some tips and some advice on how to manage my mouth noise. I was drinking lots of lemon juice and ate lots of green apples and used lip balm. However, none of those techniques seem to help because I keep getting rejections:( I also have a pop filter to make loud plosives go away. Perhaps I should use a double pop filter.
My native language is Ukrainian/Russian and it has a lot of 's' and 'sh' sounds. At one of many rejections, the reviewers suggested using de-esser in my DAW. But there is no more editing I can do to sound natural.
I wish I could submit work in English but I do have an Eastern-European Accent which unfortunately is not included in the VoiceBunny list.
I really long for becoming a professional Voice Bunny!

I, too, run into mouth noise issues often. In fact, I was just cleaning up my own mouth noise instances with a waveform editor. Please have a look. This is just one of many:
So I edit them out clean (w/ the pen tool) before submitting all of my files to my clients ;-)
In fact, when you get your voice recorded in a professional studio, it's the engineer who gets to do this chore ;-) ... but since you are your own engineer (!!!), you have to do it yourself.
And... in regards to using two layers of pop filters? Yes! I use two layers: one with stocking-like material, and the other with metal mesh-like filter. I see no problem if you have to use three pop-screen layers, as long as you get your jobs done ;-)

I ordered triple layer metal mesh pop filter, so hopefully it will help my application be submitted successfully! Also, I'm about to learn how to use pen tool to clean out mouth noise. I do have one more question though. Is it possible to apply for Voice Bunny Studio English language with slight Ukrainian Accent?

Thank you for being a trooper, Oki's advice is always on point and it's great to see how it's already yielding good results. Keep up the learning efforts.
To answer your last question: yes and no. English - North America is a category with strict guidelines as far as accents go, but we know that new accents like yours (English - Ukrainian) are being requested and thus are getting added often to the profile options available to pros in our platform.
We will talk to our Talent Acquisition Specialist so that she may get in touch with you once that option is enabled. Hopefully, you'll be rocking the Ukrainian category by then as a fully-fledged pro!
