Submission rejected for hiss/tone, feedback please!
My contest submission was rejected for two reasons:
1. There is a high level of white noise/hiss impacting your recording that is adversely affecting the quality of the deliverable.
We invite you to review a webinar we hosted on how to control and manage hiss here: https://bit.ly/2ZixGeI
2. Your recording doesn't follow the instructions provided by the client: the client is asking for a [deep, warm voice, as if telling an old tale] and we think your tone of voice does not reflects [sic] what the client is asking for this project.
Now, I had been given the opportunity to revise the tone of the deliverable and I did. However, the hiss was not mentioned when requesting the revision, therefore I was not able to address it. However, upon listening to it after the rejection, I did not hear a hiss in my own submission, yet when I listened to the other two submissions that were ACCEPTED, there was one that had a definite high noise floor compared with my own...yet it was accepted. I attempted to make my tone deeper and warmer and like I was telling a story, and yet again, the other two that were accepted did no better than I. I've attached BOTH submissions; if I could get some feedback on hiss or tone, it would be appreciated.
This is the original submission:

Thanks in advance!

Hello Janelle!
I do not know what went on, but as far as I could tell from listening to these audios, they are OK.
Could that be because of a human error? I'm not sure.
Best regards,
Oki
Thanks, Oki. :-)
