How can I miss opportunities when I was never GIVEN the opportunity

I just received an e-mail telling me about projects completed by pro's in my category that included speedy AND contests. I was never given any of the opportunities to participate in those listed. As a matter of fact I this was the only e-mail I received in the past week. 

Why inform me of something I was never given a privilege to participate in any way??? 

there is nothing more frustrating than dangling a FAKE carrot in front of a bunny pro.
