Hello Caleb! Thank you for participating in this community! :-)

I must say this is on the borderline :-( I hear considerable amount of aliasing noise that likely came from your noise cancellation plugin (FFT-based?)... On top of that, a lot of good-sounding audio frequency ranges are somehow suppressed.

As you may know, vast majority of clients worldwide does not want us to use these noise cancellation plugins simply because they cannot undo the damages introduced by these mediocre-grade plugins. Besides, they have a much more robust set of plugins just to work on noise issues.

So let's just concentrate on producing a good clean raw audio ;-)

    Best regards,
    Oki

Alright, so, my noise floor is at about -52 by itself, is that low enough? Also, the file was compressed and run through an eq plug-in. If I adjust those, should I try again on here?

I hear ALIASING NOISE which is different from "noise floor".

Could you please upload the completely raw audio with no plugin applied?

    Thank you! :-)

    Best regards,
    Oki

Hey there Oki! I hope you are well. I've taken some time with the notes you made and went down an aliasing rabbit hole. Nevertheless, here is another attempt, different script.

Oki, I really appreciate the help!

Hello, Caleb ... Please accept my apology for this delayed reply :-((((

Listening to this audio itself sounds somewhat okay... but we've got hundreds of English VO files sounding far superior, pristine, raw, with less effects added. When compared back-to-back w/ those good-sounding audios, this audio of yours sounds muffled and filtered... as if you are trying very hard to conceal defects in audio quality.

This makes me wonder if you could find someone, an audio professional (or even a recording guy at a conservatory nearby), who could give you professional suggestions as to how to fine-tune your audio signal path(s), room acoustics, and room insulation. ... I wish I could just fly over to your place and configure settings :-D heh
