Hi Community,
more than 50% of my previous samples have been rejected. (Too much room noise) Now I improved my recording circumstances and hope to get approved again.
I am happy about your feedback! Here are my new recordings: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/xpo2k77o4jadbug/AAACUSEWypxJ9XcM8GoVhQiXa?dl=0

Hi Florian,
Thank you for using this space!
Amazing reading and performance, kudos there.
There is just a minor issue we can fix very easily, it has to do with your acoustics.
Would you mind sharing pictures of your recording space with us, that way, our team will be able to provide you with personalized feedback and get that solved in no time.

Hi Johnatan,
thank you for your reply!
Actually I use my wardrobe, as it allows to blend out the room noise.

If you have suggestions for improvement, I would be glad!

Hello Florian!
How are you??
Hope this post finds you well and safe. Thank you for sharing your sample and for sharing pictures of your recording space. Definitely as Johnathan was telling you, you are having some issues with your acoustics. I was checking the pictures of your recording space and I'm afraid that maybe it is not 100% suitable to have good acoustic conditions for recording.
What you could try to do is the following:
1. Try to locate more clothes and fabrics on the low corners of your wardrobe so they can absorb those reflections.
2. Besides that, you would also want to try to hang some clothes around the space where you are located and record maybe using a chair so that the reflections of the room are absorbed by them. You can put clothes and blankets around you when recording to remove a lot of the reflections from your space.
3. Finally, if it is possible for you, you might want to consider the chance to get a reflection filter. These ones are really effective and will help to improve the overall quality of your sound. We personally recommend the Kaotica Eyeball and the sE Reflection Filter Pro which we know they work really good.
Please let me know how this goes and submit new samples so we can evaluate the improvements.
Kind regards and have a nice weekend :)

Hello Gabriel,
thanks for the in-depth reply! I really appreciate it.
I will try your suggestions out very soon and post new samples!
Best from Vienna,
Florian
Hi Gabriel,
thanks again for the feedback!
I tried several of your improvements now:
1) I filled the low corners of the wardrobe with clothes and also isolated the top
2) I hung a heavy blanket behind the space where I am located so that I am sourrounded by thick fabric now.
I recorded the same text again to compare and took some pictures of the space for you to check. I hope the improvements are audible! Please let me know.
I am thinking of buying a reflection filter as well in the future.

Hello Florian! How are you?
Hope this post finds you well :).
Thanks a lot for sending out the new pictures and samples. I'm really pleased to tell you that what you did improved a lot the quality of your audio on regards the room echo that you were presenting :). Right know, your audio doesn't have any room echo at all so that is great.
Things to take into account:
1. I noticed some plosives on your audio. The best way to prevent plosives is by using a professional pop-filter and recording at an appropriate distance from the mic.
2. Also, please be aware that all breath noises should be removed completely from your audio. You can do this using volume automation or fades. But if you want to avoid to do any editing, the best way is to be aware and mindful of the breath noises when you are recording so you can control them consciously :).
Please let me know if you need anything else.
Hope you are having a great week.
Gabriel
Hello Gabriel,

I am glad that my new setup allows to blend out the room echo.

I tried to be careful with the plosives and removed the breath noises.
Thank you for this learning experience! You guys are doing a great job.
Hello Florian!
Thanks to you for being committed and wanting to improve the quality of your audios. The pleasure is mine and I'm really happy that I can help :).
The audio you submitted is great! The plosives and breath noises are under control. Everything is well done. Keep up the good work!
If all your audios are submitted with this quality, I don't think you are going to have problems with your samples neither your deliverables.
In a bit your account should be reactivated :).
Thanks a lot for being part of this community. If you need anything else please don't hesitate to reach us out.
Have an excellent weekend and I wish you all the best during this tough times.
Gabriel
