New rate system?

I logged in today to update my rates a bit- and I am SO confused.  Suddenly nothing is by word anymore?  This makes no sense.  When did this switch?  The amounts seem totally off from what I had setup before as well- Is this a glitch or are you really switching over to this system?  Why weren’t we notified?

There is a HUGE difference between a 1 minute script and a 2-3 minute script.  A significant difference in time investment, but I’m no longer going to be paid anymore?  CONFUSED- Please advise.

  Thank you for reaching out.

   

  We are making updates to our new rates page for our Pros, it will allow you to better understand and calculate your rates based on the time you'll invest on a given project. 

   

  We understand it may seem a bit off compared to the rates you had before per words, but we want you to understand that it is exactly what you had set before, our system changed automatically based on your original setting. It is equivalent to the rates you had a couple of weeks ago. 

   

  With that in mind, we invite you to revise your rates and set them accordingly to what you think is best for you and your work.

   

  We are still working on the page, but once it is done, we will make sure to inform all of our Pros about all the changes and how to make the most of it.

  I did notice the rate change, however I think this is more accurate and follows the industry in the way it should be calculated. I always felt the old system was confusing. However, my old rates said $20 dollars for 50 words, and because I wasn't aware of the switch, and it switched automatically, now my rates says $20 for 150 words (1 minute) and I got casted today for a 1 minute VO job for $20, far below my rate. Every time I try to change it, it won't update the change. I have had help from help@voicebunny.com, and it was working, but today, it just reverted back to my old rates and I got casted that 20 dollar spot which is my old rates.

  We are currently working on this page, it seems like it needs some more work on it.

  For now, do you think you can give us your preferred rates in this format, please?

  ~5 words - 2 seconds
  ~50 words - 20 seconds
  ~500 words - 3 minutes
  ~5000 words - 30 minutes
  ~50000 words - 6 hours

  We'll make sure to change those rates for you, we want you to feel comfortable with your rates.
