Inconsistent Quality Control
Guys this is just getting really out of hand.
Today I successfully submitted a project (https://voicebunny.com/projects/#/timeline/163350C48B0294A0AE64) and recently successfully submitted (https://voicebunny.com/projects/#/timeline/69613D0EC9024BABFFD3)
I don't know who on the QC team approved them .
Using the same setup later in the day both https://voicebunny.com/projects/#/timeline/4551E6C08421C7D3229D and https://voicebunny.com/projects/#/timeline/65831CC194E3149DE182
were rejected by Hiroshi. I did nothing different in regards to editing and my recording booth was set up in the exact same way.
I'm starting to lose my mind a bit here. You guys need to set a universal benchmark for audio quality which all QC staff will adhere too.
Finally if you are going to ask for a revision you really should provide detailed, individual feedback, not copy pasted answers that don't really help me solve the issue.

Hello Michael! How are you?
First of all, I want to apologize on behalf our QC team and I totally understand your frustration. I know it could be annoying wanting to get approved and not knowing what it is that you should really do in order to improve the quality of your audios. Also, I know it could be irritating that the QC is not always super aligned and is not 100% consistent all the time. At Bunny, we are really focusing on improving our consistency but we can still make mistakes sometimes :).
I was listening to your audios and from my point of view, the deliverables that were rejected were correctly rejected. Unfortunately, I do think that the lack of consistency here was in approving one of your two audios that were approved and that had some QC issues (boxiness - boost on the low frequency spectrum) https://voicebunny.com/projects/#/timeline/163350C48B0294A0AE64. We receive a lot of audios on a daily basis and this can happen from time to time as fortunately we are still humans and not machines :).
Nevertheless, your audio approved on https://voicebunny.com/projects/#/timeline/69613D0EC9024BABFFD3
has a great quality and that's the way all your audios should sound. If all your setup is the same, my first guess will be that the difference was on the distance from your mouth to the mic that you were using while recording. On the rejected audios as well as the one I told you that was incorrectly approved, it seems as if you were recording too close to the mic which has resulted in an undesired boost in the low frequencies. This is called the 'proximity effect' and makes your voice sound muddy and inarticulate as well as it might cause some boxiness. Just be careful of not having any hiss/white noise as I could notice a little bit of it but not problematic at all.
In order to avoid any QC issues on the future, please take the audio mentioned as a reference as how all your audios should sound. If you listen carefully, you will notice that this one sounds different and better than the other three and it doesn't have any boosts on the low frequency spectrum (for better listening I personally recommend using professional studio headphones. In order to notice the difference on monitors, you should have an acoustically treated space and very well trained ears.)
Again, please apologize us as we really do our best to maintain happy our clients as well as our wonderful pros. You are the core of our business and we don't take that for granted :).
Please let me know if you need anything else. I hope you have a super nice week and hope you and your beloved ones are well and safe during this strange times!
Gabriel
