Noise Reduction
Hi...would so appreciate if someone could answer this because it is not making sense to me with all I have learned up to this point with editing principles. I won a job yesterday but my final script keeps getting rejected for this:
Processing - Your deliverable exhibits an audio signature consistent with heavy noise reduction/suppression, which causes your voice to sound quashed. Please re-record and deliver a clean take that's been treated with nothing but peak level normalization at -3 dBFS. Should your speech levels need it, use automation and/or manual leveling too.
MY QUESTION IS THIS---Voice Bunny instructions say Your noise floor should be at or below -60db. I have to apply minimal noise reduction to get my noise floor down to that level from my home studio( which is taught in all editing classes!) Why is Voice Bunny not taking that into account. I was told by a customer associate I could attach a sample but I do not see a place to do that so the job is SOUNDS SPHERE.
I would sooo appreciate feedback as I don't want to give up on Voice Bunny!

Hi Carolyn,
Thank you for reaching out to the community and sharing your thoughts.
There is a couple of ways you can share your file with our team:
Do you think you can try either one?
Looking forward to your file.
Hi Jonathan
Here is the link to SoundCloud

Thank you for your help!
Hi Carolyn,
Thank you for that link.
It seems like the issue here has nothing to do with the noise floor, rather, it seems like it has to do with acoustics and/or some plugins being used to mitigate the room tone.
Can you share some pictures of your recording space with us? That'd allow us to give you more accurate feedback to your current setup.

I do appreciate you getting back to me even though it took several days. I do no use plugins and my recording space has been reviewed by Dan Lenard and Larry Hudson. I use foam and acoustical panels. Honestly it is not easy to work with Voice Bunny...to get responsive answers to questions or to talk to a live person about comments that are computer generated.
Hi Carolyn,
Then it seems like the acoustic treatment could be tweaked to achieve even better results.
Sounds like early reflections are bouncing back to your microphone and creating this undesired acoustic effect.
We understand how you must feel, however, we want you to know that every conversation that you have with us, is with people and not computer-generated.
As mentioned before, a picture of your recording space would be a huge help to try and find a more appropriate approach to this issue.
I would be happy to share pics but would how would you propose I do that given I cannot attached anything to this conversation?
Do you want to give me your email?
There's an easier way, most of our Pros upload the pictures to a Google Drive folder and share the link with us.
Do you think you can try that?
