    Hi Javier,

Thank you for reaching out, this is a good sample!

Out of curiosity, are you applying any processing to your audio?

We ask because it seems like you are, and if so, we could work to make it less noticeable.

    Let us know

    Thanks Johnatan.

I don't remember if this audio has processing or not (it's an old sample i had handy), but I usually don't use any EQ or Noise Gates.

    What are your suggestions?

    Thanks

    Hi Javier,

We would love to have a fresh sample to evaluate, it will give us a clear picture of what we could get from you.

Do you think you can record and send us a fresh one?

When it comes to processing, we advise not to use it, however, we know that sometimes is needed, if that's your case, make sure to use it very mildly so it is not noticeable.

    Hi Johnatan,

My technical setup has not changed in the last 2 years, so this is in a way "fresh" sample.  This sample is a few months old.

You just mentioned on your previous message it was good.   I always never use processing and usually work with raw files.  You can check this for yourself by looking at my 5-star rating on my Voicebunny profile. Otherwise, i would not have such a rating.

Please send me your tech suggestions and I can take them into account for the future, and would greatly appreciate if you can reactivate my account.

    Regards

    Hi Javier,

This is a good read, thank you for this.

There's one more thing to work before reactivating your account. Seems like you might have some plosives on your recording, for this you could:

    • use a pop filter
    • place the mic on a slight angle so the air of your consonants doesn't hit the mic's capsule directly
    • take a step back from the mic

Please, try these suggestions and come back with a new audio for us

    Hi Javier,

This is much better sounding. Please try to replicate this on your future recordings, also remember to keep deleting your rejected samples so our system doesn't deactivate you again.

Your account has been reactivated, thank you for being so kind and approachable during this process.

All the best with future projects and don't be a stranger, we're always here to help
