Rejection
I have been rejected 6 times to join because of too much compression, room noise, echo. Man, you guys are hard to please! Then I will listen to some of your pros and hear more noise, compression, and echo than what my audition file has. my audition file was not processed, it was slightly at -3db, and the floor noise is virtually nonexistent. Plus it is assumed from you that I am using nonprofessional equipment. Not so. I am totally at a loss. I am not a beginner. I have been a VO artist and audio engineer for over 35 years and I have never been through such a problem. Please help me pinpoint just what I am doing that is not satisfactory.

Thank you for joining this space, first of all. We appreciate your presence and willingness to figure out a way to ace your audition process.
I have to say though, that sample you shared with us does display all the hallmark traits of audio that's been heavily processed with noise reduction/suppression, as the dynamics in your wonderful voice are quashed and there's digital artifacting/dropouts in the transients.
Please, share with us a downloadable raw sample: no processing, leveling, or editing of any kind, so that we may have a clean slate to start this process with, we won't judge. You may use Dropbox, Google Drive or any file sharing service =)
If you could be so kind as to include a detailed description of your gear, DAW, workflow, and even pictures of your recording space, it'd help us help you in a much more detailed fashion.
I can tell you from personal experience that Bunny helped me improve on so many aspects even with 20 years of radio experience under my belt, and I'm that we can figure this out together in no time.
