Audition Rejection
Ok, this is starting to get a little tiresome now. I have been with Bunny since June and overall I really enjoy working with them. However, one aspect of the process is unbelievably frustrating and that is, surprise, surprise, the inconsistency of Quality Control!
Now I don’t mind if my submissions are rejected for background noises or mispronunciations or mouth clicks, or pretty much anything that is my obvious fault. But last week a job required an “English-England” accent, no more, no less. I am from England and speak English and yet my submission was rejected for the wrong accent!! After complaining, I managed to get my stats revised.
This morning, my rejection was “boxy” sounding environment. I have worked from exactly the same recording room for 4 months and had dozens of jobs. Absolutely nothing has changed! How can it suddenly become “boxy”?
I appreciate the need for good quality control, but for the love of God guys come on! I’ve spent a lot of money and tons of time into this Voiceover work, as have many others, so please, please think twice before rejecting our work with some trumped up excuse. Sorry for the rant, I do love Bunny! Thank you.

Hi, Paul!
First of all, thank you very much for such a candid approach to these situations and for letting us know, as we can always use the community's input to improve on our work and your experience with Bunny.
Would you be so kind as to share here the links/details to those projects you're talking about? I'd love to dive into the details and help you figure out what's to be done in both cases.
Thanks again for sharing with us!
Cheers,
Héctor Adolfo Ituarte (Bunny Studio QC Agent)
Thanks for the reply Hector. Bunny support is always top notch!
Project ID link for “wrong accent”
Just to confirm, my stats have already been sorted for the “wrong accent” fiasco. Thanks
Hey, Paul!
Thank you very much for the information on both projects. Our team continues to improve because of our community's feedback =)
On the issue of boxiness, I do have to agree with our agent's assessment, but I'd like to work with you in trying to improve your recording quality. We're pushing our standards constantly and I believe that we can make that voice of yours shine with little and simple adjustments.
If your down for it, just attach a bare-bones, raw as they come sample (a download link from any file sharing service will do). Also, a detailed description of your gear, booth/recording space (clear photos will help greatly), and the details of your processing/FX chain (and DAW of choice).
Looking forward to hearing more of you soon!
