Young Adult Voice Rejected - No Revision
Hi folks,
Will admit, I'm more than a little peeved about this one.
This was just rejected without a chance for a revision by Hiroshi for the following reason: 1.) Age- Your recording does not reflect the age the client requested.

For one, I *am* a young adult male, at 23, and almost every job I do on Voicebunny is either teenage or young adult.
Why was this rejected without me being given a chance to revise it? I'm in the top 14% for Speedies and this has really bothered me.

Hi Tom,
Thank you for reaching out, we'll look at this for you.
Can you please send us the link to that project as well?
That way we can understand the project's brief and see where the team's decision came from.
Hi Johnatan,
Here's the project link:

I'm voice actor 6836E4S in the project timeline.
Thanks for having a look at this for me!
Cheers
Hi Tom,
Thank you for that.
We just saw that project and we understand this might be a little confusing.
Your voice, even though you are 23, sounds a little more mature, sounds like you would benefit from working on middle age instead of young adult, that because of your tone of voice. If you compare yours against the one that got approved, you'll notice that the other Pro has a more youthful and high pitched voice than yours.
Does this make sense to you?
We just removed this project from your stats because of the confusion, but we invite you to consider your tone of voice when recording for young adult.
Let us know what you think
Hey Johnatan,
Thanks for getting back to me, and for removing this from my stats.
I understand I have a more mature timbre, and I've now flipped my profile to young adult/middle age.
Can I suggest or request the QC agent hits the 'revise' instead of 'reject' button next time? Always happy to modify the read, even if I'm not always sure it's necessary!
Cheers,
Tom
Hi Tom,
You're very welcome.
Sure, we can mention it to the team, however, in order to be fair with everyone, and keeping in mind this was a speedy, the team has the idea of approving or reject, so other Pros can have a chance to participate as well.
We hope you can understand that this benefits all of our Pros, including you, that way you'll have chances to be invited to other projects when a Pro misreads it.
Have a wonderful rest of your week
