Thank you very much for using this space!
We shared. your file with our QC team and here's your feedback:
It has a lot of space at the beginning (we recommend around half a second) also, there are lots of plosives and some sections (like at 0:22) there is a bit of distortion, maybe she has her mic gain set too high.
Based on this, we suggest you revise the input gain of your mic, as well as making sure you're using a pop filter, and if you already do, then placing the mic at a slight angle so the air doesn't hit the mic's capsule directly.

Really helpful thank you- I misread how long you needed at the beginning as 5 seconds so that’s an easy fix! I have a pop filter so appreciate the feedback on the angle, which I will do. Shall I resubmit here or will I expect to get a new assignment (have asked for another opportunity) thanks!

Thank you for this new sample.
Unfortunately, it seems like the changes didn't help to improve the quality as we're picking up hiss noise that wasn't there before, as well as more plosives on the recording. It seems like the gain might be higher than it should, affecting the input of your voice.
Is there a chance you could work to bring back the previous quality?
Yes not sure what happened there!
